Dog Raincoat
Dog raincoats keep your dog dry on wet walks so you spend less time towelling off muddy fur, and this collection covers light shells, hooded raincoats, transparent designs and coats sized for very large dogs. Many styles combine a water and wind resistant shell with reflective details and a breathable mesh lining, and sizes run from XS for small dogs up to 12XL. For colder, snowy days, see our dog winter coats.
How to choose the right dog raincoat
- Waterproofing: Look for a waterproof layer such as the TPU membrane on the dinosaur raincoat or the PVC of the transparent raincoat. Water and wind resistant shells, like the luxury and black raincoats, suit everyday showers.
- Breathability: A mesh lining, found on the luxury, black and camouflage raincoats, lets air move so your dog does not get clammy on longer walks.
- Coverage: A hood keeps rain off the head and ears. The large dog raincoat comes in separate male and female versions, which changes how the belly area is covered.
- Visibility: Rainy days are dark days. Reflective stripes on the sleeves or reflective strips on the back help drivers see your dog.
- Adjustability and leash access: Adjustable points on the hood, sleeves and hem let you fine tune the fit, and a leash attachment lets you clip on without lifting the coat.
- Dog size: Small dogs have plenty of choice from XS, while large breeds can look at the dinosaur raincoat from 3XL to 8XL or the large dog raincoat from 8XL to 12XL.
Sizing and fit
Measure your dog's chest girth behind the front legs, back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, and neck girth. Compare the numbers with the size chart on each product page, as sizes differ between models. If your dog falls between two sizes, choose the larger one. A raincoat should cover the back fully without restricting the legs.

Dog raincoat FAQ
Does my dog need a raincoat?
A raincoat helps dogs with thin or short coats, small dogs and older dogs stay dry and comfortable in wet weather. Dogs with long or dense fur also benefit, because a raincoat keeps the undercoat from getting soaked and saves drying time. Water loving breeds with oily coats often manage without one.
What is the difference between a raincoat and a winter coat for dogs?
A dog raincoat is a light, water resistant shell made for wet but mild weather, often with a breathable mesh lining. A dog winter coat adds padding or fleece for warmth in cold temperatures. On cold rainy days, choose a winter coat with a waterproof outer fabric.
How do I clean a dog raincoat?
Rinse mud off the raincoat with lukewarm water, wipe it with a mild soap if needed and let it air dry away from direct heat. Check the care label on each product page before machine washing, since coated fabrics can lose their water resistance.
How long does delivery of a dog raincoat take?
Delivery times depend on your address and the item. All current delivery information is listed in our shipping policy, so you can order before the rainy season starts.
