How to choose the right dog supplies

• Daily routine: A towel for wet walks, a bottle for outings and a feeding bowl cover most homes before any extras.
• Dog size: Many items come in several sizes, such as grooming hammocks from XS to L or drying bags from S to 2XL. Match the size to your dog's body length and weight rather than breed alone.
• Material and cleaning: Silicone, stainless steel, polyester and Oxford fabric each clean differently. The washable pee mat is hand washable, and the artificial grass pad rinses with water and air dries.
• Eating speed: Dogs that gulp their meals often do well with a slow feeder. The slow feeder for small dogs uses a suction cup base to stay in place during meals.
• Play style: Chewers, tuggers and fetchers need different toys. Look for tug toys with an inner rope for pulling games, fleece squeaky toys for gentle play and a ball launcher for dogs that love fetch.

Sizing and dimensions

For wearable items such as bathrobes and drying bags, measure your dog's back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and the chest girth behind the front legs, then compare with the size chart on each product page. If your dog falls between two sizes, choose the larger one. For mats, towels and bowls, check the listed dimensions: the washable pee mat comes in 50x35, 60x45 and 70x50 cm, and the microfiber towels range from 30x30 to 50x100 cm.

Dog Supplies FAQ

What supplies does a new puppy need?

A new puppy usually needs a food and water bowl, a collar or harness with a leash, a bed, a few toys, grooming basics and a potty training solution such as a washable mat or artificial grass pad. Starting with these essentials covers eating, sleeping, walking and house training. Ask your vet about food, vaccinations and parasite care.

Do slow feeder bowls help dogs that eat too fast?

Slow feeder bowls use ridges or mazes that make a dog work around obstacles, which slows down how quickly food is eaten. Many owners use slow feeders for dogs that gulp meals. If your dog regularly vomits, coughs or seems uncomfortable after eating, ask your vet.

How do I dry my dog quickly after a bath?

Squeeze excess water from the coat, then use a microfiber towel, a dog bathrobe or a drying bag to soak up moisture. Keep your dog in a warm, draft free room until the coat is fully dry.

Are washable pee mats reusable?

Washable pee mats are made to be cleaned and used again instead of thrown away. The washable pee mat in this collection is hand washable and waterproof.

Can I return dog supplies if they do not suit my dog?

Returns are accepted within 30 days. The conditions are explained in our return and refund policy, so check that page before sending anything back.
